Of Counsel

Christopher R. Osborn’s practice centers on real estate transactions and dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on the representation of multiple listing services (MLSs) and real estate brokerages, as well as buyers, sellers, and developers of real property. He is an accomplished mediator of commercial and real estate disputes.

Chris has served as counsel to the MLSs, associations, and commercial and residential brokerages. He is the principal author of many of the most commonly used residential and commercial real estate transaction forms in Washington, experience that gives him a practical, forms-driven perspective on brokerage risk management, MLS policy, and day-to-day deal work.

Over four decades of practice, Chris has guided clients through a wide range of matters involving brokerage operations, MLS governance and policies, listing and buyer-broker agreements, purchase and sale transactions, and related disputes. He frequently works with MLSs, REALTOR® associations, and brokerage firms on rule-making, forms creation, compliance, and training initiatives and is a regular speaker and author on real estate law topics.
